Vaillant are pleased to announce the launch of the myVAILLANT connect internet gateway. This new plug-and-play solution enables seamless integration of Vaillant appliances with homeowner’s smart home systems. The simple one cable connection allows for easy installation with our new ecoTEC plus range of boilers.myVAILLANT connect unlocks the full potential and efficiency of the appliance through Vaillant controls meaning more reliable, secure, and stable digital service solutions.

General Information

myVAILLANT connect is compatible with all eBUS appliances from 2006 onwards including heat pumps. myVAILLANT connect allows Vaillant to offer a wider range of digital solutions. Not only does the gateway enable app-based control of the heating system, it can also provide opportunity for remote monitoring, remote optimisation and better service assistance to the homeowner and its installation partners.

When used with the new ecoTEC plus, myVAILLANT connect can be installed with a simple one cable solution. The benefit of the one cable solution means there are no requirements for external power or additional caballing. Power and communication are achieved by the one cable connecting in to the CIM port located underneath the ecoTEC plus.

For all other boiler and heat pump installation situations, you will need to either locate an external power source or utilise the new VRA 42 adapter which allows for power and eBUS to be taken directly from the boiler PCB.

Depending on the heat pump system, either the VRA 42 or AC adapter three pin plug should be used:

aroTHERM plus

• with a VWZ MEH 97/6 Hydraulic module can use the VRA 42
• with a VIH QW 190/6 uniTOWER can use the VRA 42
• with a VWZ AI VWL x/6 MB2 should use the three-pin plug solution

• aroTHERM split with either the VWL 57/5 IS, VWL 77/5 IS or VWL 125/5 IS hydraulic modules can use the VRA 42
• aroTHERM 2/3 with VWZ AI VWL x/2 A should always use the three-pin plug solution
• geoTHERM mini can use the VRA 42
• flexoTHERM should use the three-pin plug solution
