Consists of two resin vessels where one is in service and the second is on standby. The flow of water to service is metered and when the first vessel reaches exhaustion the control valve automatically switches the service flow to the second vessel and then regenerates the exhausted first vessel. This enables the Duplex to give 24 hours continuous supply of softened water.
