Intergas has been making products for the home since 1939, but things really got moving 50 years later. By then they were a dedicated group of Dutch engineers and researchers making high-efficiency condensing boilers. Believe it or not it would be another 17 years before these boilers would become mandatory in the UK, but they’ve always been pioneers at heart. In 1996 Intergas developed a boiler component – the bithermic heat exchanger – that was so simple and advanced, it remains at the cutting edge of boiler technology today. This vital component ensures comfort, reliability and energy efficiency that’s off the scale, three of the most important considerations when buying a new boiler. They also make hybrid heating solutions that minimise gas consumption and carbon emissions and all-electric air source heat pumps that have no emissions at all.
Today Intergas are still a close-knit group of engineers and researchers and are just as dedicated, but there are a lot more of them and they're multi-national. In 2008 they were delighted to open their UK head office and distribution warehouse in the Midlands, where they work together to develop heating and hot water solutions that reduce emissions, keep energy bills low and protect our planet.
